Nemesis is a packet generator tool.
This describes how to install Nemesis from source code on Ubuntu 10.10.
There’s no apt package on Ubuntu 10.10.
So you need to install Nemesis from source code.
I could finally install Nemesis w/ the following Nemesis n’ libnet version.
In case of libnet 1.1.2.1. , I can’t install Nemesis.
- Procedure
[ logs including the errors I faced ]
- Download Nemesis source code.
http://nemesis.sourceforge.net/index.html
I downloaded nemesis-1.4.tar.gz.
- install Nemesis
I face an error. There’s no libnet library.
- Before installing Nemsis , install libnet at first.
download n’ iinstall libnet-1.1.2.1.tar.gz ( google it out to get libnet )
- install Nemesis again
Unn, see an error.
- install libnet 1.0.2a instead of libnet 1.1.2.1
- install Nemesis again
get things done.
You can also install nemesis on Ubuntu 10.04 w/ the above procedures.
