Linux Mint : GUI has broken after upgrading to Mint 14 from Mint 13 ( can’t solve )

I upgraded to Mint 14 from Mint 13 by the following procedure.
I could upgrade to the Mint 14 ,, however GUI has broken after the upgrade :(
can’t solve this …

Here’s the upgrade procedure I did.

1.
edit /etc/apt/sources.list

from maya to nadia
from precise to quantal

# cat /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://packages.linuxmint.com/ nadia main upstream import deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal main restricted universe multiverse deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal-updates main restricted universe multiverse deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal-security main restricted universe multiverse deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/ quantal partner deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/ quantal free non-free # deb http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu quantal-getdeb apps # deb http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu quantal-getdeb games

2.
upgrade to Mint 14

# apt-get update # apt-get -yu --fix-missing dist-upgrade

3.
reboot the OS

# reboot

after rebooting the OS

# uname -ri 3.5.0-19-generic x86_64

GUI has broken like this.. ( I’ve also faced the same issue on Ubuntu when upgrading to 12.10 from 12.04 )
